The Alupotha Bridge joining the Nivitigala Divisional Secretariat Division and the Pelmadulla Divisional Secretariat Division which was implemented through projects on rural bridges under the State Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government, was completed and handed over to the public on 17.07.2024 by the patronage of Hon. Janaka Wakkumbura, State Minister for Provincial Councils and Local Government.

This bridge implemented under Netherland loan aid and constructed through precast Bridges Project is of 30 metres in length, incurring an expenditure of Rs.100 million.

A group including the former Chairman Mr Lakshman Premaratne, former Pradeshiya Sabha members of the Pelmadulla Pradeshiya Sabha and the Pelmadulla Divisional Secretary participated in this event.
