The commencement of work of the State Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government was held at the Ministry premises on 01.01.2024 marking the commencement of year 2024 by giving priority to religious activities.

Multi-religious clergy, Mr.Janaka Wakkumbura State Minister of the Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government, Additional Secretaries of the Ministry and all officers participated in this ceremony.
