A series of programs have been initiated by the Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government and its affiliated projects in order to fulfil the required qualifications to target the foreign employments    after providing necessary language knowledge and vocational training.

The training program on the first stage of Japanese Language Foundation Examination (JFT Basic) for the workers program with special skills in Japan was commenced on 21st May 2022 as its first program.

These programs are exclusively conducted on free and the students are directed to JFT Basic Examination having continuously held this program 06 months.

At the commencement of this program, former Secretary of Ministry, W.M.M.B. Weerasekara, Chief Secretary of North Central Province,  Chandarasiri Bandara, Head of Capacity Development Unit of  Local Authorities of United Nations Development Program, Jude Woltan, Additional General Manager of Foreign Employment Bureau, Mangala Randeniya and Senior Assistant Secretary of Administration and Training Division of Ministry, Roshan Gamage have addressed the occasion.

More than 400 persons have participated for this program which is conducted online.
